My son tolerated no foods unless given with enzymes, so I had to give enzymes with everything he ate or drank. >>If the meals/snacks are within 60-90 minutes of one another > will the previous enzyme cover the recent snack? For my son, enzymes went for 60-90 minutes. If the snack was 60 minutes later, and a small snack, the enzymes would have covered it. But a larger snack, or closer to 90 minutes, I would have had to give additional enzymes. >>Should the Peptizyde > and ZymePrime be given together with all meals/snacks? I gave them together, along with No-Fenol, with everything. Dana
Guest guest
Hi Matt As you are just starting out I would repeat the enzymes if over the 60 min time frame, in fact I'd probably just give some more. As time goes on and he adjusts to the enzymes and gets some active healing done in the gut (I personally don't beleive GFCF does this at all) then you will be able to experiement and judge best for your lad. If he is having several small meals/snacks (my son is a grazer) you can empty a cap out into a cold drink, give him a few swigs before each sitting and put in back in the fridge for later. They are good for up to 4 hours this way. Good luck, we came of the GFCF deit with HNI 4 years ago this month Much more improvements off diet than on (YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!) Mandi in UK Should I be giving them with every meal AND snack? If the meals/snacks are within 60-90 minutes of one another will the previous enzyme cover the recent snack? Should the Peptizyde and ZymePrime be given together with all meals/snacks? Sorry so many questions but I just wanna do this right. My son is 5 and has been GF/CF for over three years. I was going to do SCD but if this works I'll be psyched! He's doing really well but I'm never satisfied
Guest guest
Hi Jenifer, My son is going to have his first DAN visit this Friday after months of being on the waiting list. Since I noticed his possible diagnosis of ASD, I have done the following in a course of six months on my own and with the help of this group: Cod Liver Oil( Nordic Natural), 1 tsp All three Houston Enzymes with meals and snacks ,1/2 capsule GFCF Diet Kirkman's Probio Gold, 2 caps and recently added: Multi Vitamins and Minerals 1 tsp, 3x day 0.5 milligram of melatonin before bedtime the result are the following: Reduced obssesive behavior lost his excessive separation anxiety End of symptoms of irritable bowls syndrome reduced stimming and he stopped hitting himself Cognitive improvements Vocalization happiness sense of humor expresstion of love sustained eye contact and doesn't seem to be in pain My son has learned more in the past three months of GFCF diet than in the 14th month prior to that. also he has put on 1.5 lb of weight in the past three months while the 11 months prior to the diet, he had only gained 0.5 lb while he had grown 4 inches in height. He is still below the 5th percentile of BMI which makes him underweight but has gained great muscle tone. The problem I still struggle with are yeast. Guest guest
--- Dear Haleh: I am so happy that you are finally going to see a DAN after waiting for so long. I am also glad to know that your son is doing so good on the bio-med interventions you 've started on your own . Best of luck with everything. Keep us posted. Guest guest
>>>I started the enzymes last month but had to stop my son > became very ill.only did enzymes for one day. What enzymes did you give (product and dose)? >>>He had step in aug. then last month he was sick again, the doctors are still unable to tell me what it was. You mean strep? What do the doctors recommend you do now? >>>Is there any supplement I can give with enzymes to strenghten the immune system. There are some. The enzymes may make the immune system strengtheners work better. Do you know why he stopped the reliv? Was it around the same time as the strep problem? Oh, and do you give anything else besides the meds and supplements you mentioned? Thanks. Welcome, Helen! .

Hives can be an allergy or intolerance to something he was given in the hospital. It can also mean viral die off. DUH!Is there > any supplement I can give with enzymes to strenghten the immune > system. I use olive leaf extract and ViraStop enzyme as anti-virals. I give colostrum, astralagus root, vitamin C, and occasionally a small amount of iron [i apparently pulled too much with the IP6] to strenthen the immune system. ALA is a chelator, so first research what to watch for. http://www.danasview.net/parent3.htm#chelation Some kids need to take it every 3 hours, so watch for that. I gave it 3x per day for my kids, but I started at a lower dose than 30mg. Dana

HNI AFP Peptizyde would digest the casein from the goat yoghurt, and it does not contain papain or bromelain. http://www.houstonni.com/ Dana
