If neccessary, I don't mind staying on this first part of the diet for weeks. After 2 to 5 days on the intro, you may start adding foods back. It is best to do one at a time to see if your body has any symptoms from it. The stages are not Elaine's. They were added with her permission from moms over at pecanbread. Elaine was afraid that people would limit themselves with the list. It was started with the knowledge of what veggies/fruits work best on MOST people, not all though. Since we are all different it will depend on your body what works best with your system. If you have done the intro and then didn't add in anything that is hard to digest like almond flour, then I think you are doing fine. If you want to start with the stages, see what works best for your body. There was a recipe that I wanted to try (a lasagna from an SCD book) that used homemade tomato sauce and zucchini that I wanted to try.
