Guest guest
I was told this for 6 yrs about my son who is just barely 3rd % for height and weight. HE began to fall off at 6 months and was there at around a year. They say he will just be small, but at this rate he going to be my size, almost 5 4. His dad is 6 1. THe doc got concerned when something was found out with Autumn and sent him for testing (at 6 yrs), nothing has been found, no consitutional growth delay (bone delay), although there was some concern with thyroid levels but things didn't add up, they think it is a problem with protien bondig which gives false low thyroid levels.I am still concerned. It just doesn't make sense. Am I jumping to conclutions? I have to admit I am more concerned after everything going on with Autumm, but he is skinny too. 35lbs at 6 1/2. I know this is not an RSS situation, but hey, maybe someone knows something. It just doesn't add up with his dad's size and mine, but I guess things like that happen?!? mom to Autumn, 2 bys and baby on way > <<Aidan will still end up taller than her mother!! is only 4'10 " .>> > > My friend was told this all the time, when he son fell off the chart at age > 5. Guest guest
Thanks for the response. Yes, it was tested and came back normal. He went to an Endo and she did what she called the 'basic' screenings including the IGF-1. I don't know what else to do but I just don't feel things are right. Ironically enough, I came on this listserve for my daughter with RSS and I am finding tons of ideas with what I can do with my son, who has many eating-throwing up/sensitivity issues along with other things but is not RSS/SGA. His ped originally thought maybe growth hormone or constitutional delay, but that's not it, so now I am in a rut with some telling me I worry too much, but hey, they told me that with Autumn(RSS) too. -- In RSS-Support , " R " <mommy2twoboyz@b...> wrote: > << I have to admit I am more concerned after everything > going on with Autumm, but he is skinny too. 35lbs at 6 1/2. > I know this is not an RSS situation, but hey, maybe someone knows > something.
