Guest guest
I just wanted to say that we had an incredible Disney experience. My 15 year old daughter is on SCD and I thought I would have to be cooking her food in our room on my electric skillet like I usually do in hotel rooms on vacation. I didn't have to cook once. I did bring the waffles and honey syrup on the plane and a few other thngs. But for the most part, I never cooked for a week. Talk about a vacaion for me!!!! The chefs would come out to talk to us at every meal. Even the fast food restaurants in the parks were fabulous. Disney has a special diet dept that I spoke to before the trip and emailed them here dietary restrictions so it was in their computer system. I can't say enough about how wonderful it was. Marla > We have a traditional yearly bonfire that all the kids LOVE to attend. Problem: No marshmallows or hotdogs for our 10 yr old...> Any suggestions to help her have a fun eating time??Ooh, lag b'omer?Heh, I guess that's this weekend. It's not exactly "bonfire" food, but if she likes bananas - and it's warm enough, youcould do banana "icecream". This is delicious:http://milkforthemo rningcake. blogspot. com/2008/ 05/breakfast- go-ahead- honey-its- gluten.htmlIf she doesn't eat it then, she might like it another time. Plus, there are all kinds of yummyrecipes at that site, though not all of them are SCD - the SCD breads and cakes are marked. Mara
