Guest guest
I read a couple of new disclosures this afternoon. Two major items. First, they estimate that almost all the current cases of flu going around are H1N1. Second, and this is very important to us all. H1N1 remains contagious within your system for a significantly longer time than other flus. It may run as long as 16 days. Traditionally with flu they say you're safe a couple of days after you stop running a fever. This is not true with H1N1. You are contagious longer and need to avoid others (or in our case we need to avoid those who had it) at least as long as they still have a cough. This is another factor that will increase the spread. So warning. If you have friend or family who has the flu, extend the time before you have contact with them after.
