My daughters helmet smelled during the first week as well I thought it would be horrible by the end but as soon as we switched from the 70 to 91 % alcohol it was fine. I just used a wash cloth to scrub it.

My son got his helmet Monday and when I took it off tonight for his daily bath I almost passed out lol It had a horrible oder and I have been cleaning it every night with the alcohol but it's not doing much. Also my sons hair smells like the helmet even after his bath. Can I sprinkle a little powder in the helmet to help absorb some of the sweat? My son is used to the powder because after his bath I put lotion and powder on him every night.
