Hi, thanks for the replies.

I went on the true intro intro diet about three weeks ago for a week. Since then

I have been able to work up to the foods I listed. Before this and the intro

diet, I ate completely SCD legal foods and was in the advanced stages with no

problems.

I am poaching the eggs I eat, baking the patties and the chicken on the stove

top and the pot roast was just beef and legal chicken broth cooked in the crock

pot.

The jello is from BTVC - Knox gelatin and welch's grape juice

I was adding honey to the butternut squash because I didn't seem to have

problems adding it back in and I really needed the calories.

I agree that the aloe vera and molocure are not long-term solutions, but is the

SCD? I was on it faithfully for 3.5 years and still had flares. Is it typical

for someone to still get severe flares when they are on the SCD for a

significant amount of time?

Thanks again for any help, Kylie

Kylie, I would try eliminating the honey and be careful with the sweet

vegetables. They aggravate yeast for me and cause symptoms.

> I was diagnosed with Crohn's 9/06 when I was 14, and right after I got out of

the hospital I went on SCD. Also started Remicade which have been on ever since.

I had another bad flare 10/08 which put me in the hospital again.

> I began another flare the middle of February and have been having blood,

cramping and diarrhea ever since. Doctor put me on prednisone. I have missed

more than a month of school and I can't miss much more. I returned to the intro

diet and since then I have been eating mainly eggs, plain beef patties, plain

chicken, pot roast meat, intro chicken soup with carrots, jello, small amounts

of butternut squash with honey. I have lost 30 pounds am extremely skinny and am

still losing. The past couple days the cramping seemed a lot better, hadn't had

any blood and had a few random loose stools instead of diarrhea. I tried adding

in the nut butter brownies using almond butter yesterday to try and gain some

weight, but that caused the cramping and blood to return this morning.

> Feeling really frustrated right now, and desperate to feel better. I am

wondering if anyone has tried aloe vera juice or a product called digestinol -

the one with L-Glutamine not soy (previously called molocure)? I know these are

not SCD legal, but I am not sure SCD works for me anyway because I am still

flaring and it is not connected with eating any illegals. I have heard other

people have felt better with these products and I don't know what it could hurt.

Thank you all so much for your quick feedback and encouraging advice.

Thankfully, the cramps and bleeding has lessened some since the brownie fiasco.

Also, I was able to make it through 2 classes today :) Thanks again, I

appreciate it so much
