Well it's Friday and I'm finished with week 2 of "Intensive Pulmonary Rehab" at the Duke Center for Living here in Durham. (http://www.dukehealth.org/Services/Pulmonology/Programs/PulmonaryRehabilitation)

Now that I'm a bit more than half way through the program I can honestly say that it's the best, if most difficult thing I've ever done for myself. It's so encouraging and yes inspiring to be working this program alongside others who are awaiting "the call" for a new set of lungs and those who are just out of the hospital post transplant.

Today we welcomed back from a double lung transplant. He's 19 and needed new lungs because of his lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. He sat in a chair and joined in the floor class and then walked on the track and worked a bit on the Cybex machines. His surgery was 9 days ago!

I look at people like him or like someone who's on 15 liters and is still exercising while waiting for lungs and I tell myself I'm so fortunate and it makes me want to work harder.

So that's my update. I am so very very tired tonight but also satisfied. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
