Guest guest
From what I understand, and I could be wrong, trial and error is the only real way to tell what we can handle based on our individual reactions. Not all of us react the same way to legal foods in the beginning until healing has taken place.Subject: NutsTo: BTVC-SCD Date: Monday, May 24, 2010, 1:51 PM So, I'm not sure that I'm allergic to nuts, but I'm finding at least almond butter/flour leads to my fistula acting up. I had none for about 5 days and tried a small almond butter brownie square last night and bingo - today it is irritated! In addition, I ate yellow onion chopped up in a burger last night, and that following previous experiences has led me to believe that I cannot do yellow onion - major bloated this morning and many trips to the BR. My question is...is it possible that I'd be okay eating hazelnut or some other flour based goods? Probably trial and error? I am pretty sure pecan does not agree w/ me either. I probably should just lay off nuts altogether for a while... Tasha SCD 6/04 CD 7/

Gloom and doom. <wry grin> It's also possible that the amount of nut flour in the goodies is too much at this juncture. It's one reason why I like the pecan souffle bread. It gives me bread with a minimum of nut flour. Or you can make it with a few tablespoons of ripe avocado or steamed vegetables if you want to avoid nut flour at all. Guest guest
I don t do eggs very well, which is the main ingredient in soufle, correct? I think I did ok with the nut goodies until about the last 6 months - I think I overdid almond butter in particular. Maybe I could make goodies with coconut flour? Sure. Or pecan - lots of people find that easier to digest. Mara > > On Mon May 24th, 2010 6:22 PM MDT Wizop Marilyn L. Yes, regrettably, eggs are the main ingredient in souffle bread.
