Guest guest
I found a nice website that sells clay baking pans for baguettes and loaves. My question is (I know there is a reason no one has mentioned this before), are these type of pans OK? I was wondering if there is a possibility of them leaking out some kind of component while baking, and if so, what is it? The idea they are made for is to get the same results in baking as one would in a brick oven. That really sounds wonderful to me, but....? anyone knows if there is a " but " ? Oh, the website is: http://www.armchair.com/store/store.html Thanks, Xris-WA Proud mom to 4yr 10mo ASD, & 2.2 yo NT twins. --- End forwarded message ---

It helps with these rice breads to get them crusty on the outside. So - I would say go for it. If I remember correctly, I paid about the same amount for my pan from the Pampered Chef - so I guess around $20 or so is the going rate for clay bread pans!
