J Pouch and then Crohn's Diagnosis? - OT

Hi All-Has anyone had (or heard of) a J Pouch created only to later be diagnosed with Crohn's? A friend of mine is in the hospital with this exact situation. I am going up there on Tuesday to talk to her about the SCD but the doctor's are telling her she may be looking at a permanent ileostomy. This all happened quite suddenly this year. She was diagnosed with UC, had a J Pouch created in December with a temporary ileostomy, had it taken down in March and then just landed back in the hospital with a new diagnosis of Crohn's.Clearly she doesnt want to have a permanent ileostomy and she is very open to starting the SCD.
