Guest guest
Ken, Hey, it's Missy. I haven't posted in ages. Ian was dx'd with ADHD in the 1st grade because we were having so many problems with him focusing, getting his work done, etc. Our biggest concern was that even though he is bright enough to get the work done, it wasn't always completed. We took him to the local children's hospital to be evaluated by a psychologist. He was put on Ritalin and then Strattera to try to help, but we decided that we didn't want to have to keep giving him more drugs. He is not on anything right now and we really have to be on top of him to make sure he follows through with things. I am now looking into other ways to help him with these issues. That's actually been most of my focus these past couple of years, the ADHD as opposed to the RSS. I am looking into other ways to help him besides more drugs. Hope this helps.
