Bruce... when I had the echo, I remember something went up from the left groin area.

I hope there is not this added concern.

You said, "if any sign of PH then a catheter..." what is this catheter???

I'm glad you are being monitored so often!

A right heart catheter is the running of a wire into your heart, either

through your neck or your groin to determine the pulmonary pressure.

This pressure is estimated through regular echocardiograms but the only

accurate measurement is through the catheter. It's an easy procedure but

is normally performed in a hospital setting.

the echo that i get is in ultrasound where they put that "jelly" on you and rub it with a rolling device

when i had the heart catheter, they put something up my groin -- probably a wire

MB... apparently I have had both. I remember the wire through the groin and I remember the thingy on my chest. Then, the dr said I had nothing wrong with my heart.

No, Raghu did no procedures. I will go back in 3 months and in the meantime the tests will be ordered by him and done here where I live.

What is a concern to him are the symptoms I have from SOB to the edema, and chronic fatigue and so on.

If SOB is caused from PH too, what do I do when I am so SOB but apparently don't need O2? I had that this morning...hard to breathe and I did use my o2.

I'm sure glad we have you, Bruce and others to clarify tests and answer questions!

I'm in a new learning curve right now....

There are many other things that can cause shortness of breath, some of

which are not at all related to PF, some of them minor and some more

major. You indicate your sats are ok, but are they lower than your

norms? My sinuses will cause additional shortness of breath for me and

sometimes my sats will still be above 90 but they will be lower than

normal doing the same thing. One thing too is lack of exercise and

conditioning and I know that your other issues, such as pain, make that

difficult. You said apparently don't need O2. What were your sats when

you were short of breath this morning?
