Guest guest
Judy,Nuts should be dried at a temp lower than 150F to retain their 'goodness'. I usually dry mine at around 137-145F for 12 - 24 hours depending on how much water the nuts absorbed. Sometimes it is around 15 hours to dry if I only soak 7 hours and sometimes if I soak longer it takes closer to 24 hours.AmeliaTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Wed, May 19, 2010 1:31:11 AMSubject: Excalibur dehydrator and drying nuts I finally got my excalibur and am sooo excited! At what temperature do most people dry pecans and cashews and for how long? I have just soaked 6 pounds of pecans, 2 pounds of cashews and 1 pound of walnuts and it all fits into the large excalibur!
