Guest guest
Kristy (and Plagio group), We're keeping you in our prayers that you and yours will be safe during hurricane Ike. I'm in Plano (suburb of Dallas on north side) so we're bracing for the strom's aftermath, once it's on shore, but NOTHING like what you will experience. In 1981 I went through the Memorial Day flood in Austin, that brought 3 feet of water into my parents' (luckily 2-story) house and I will never forget fleeing in 2 vehicles when water was alreading in our house and rising fast, and almost not making it out. Mother Nature can be very dangerous... Stay safe, mom of Pierce (18mo), Jan 2008 Doc Band grad & Preston (3.5yrs) Anyone in the path of IKE please be safe! - off topic Just wanted to say that anyone that is in IKE's path you are in my prayers. I am in Houston, northwest so we just don't know what is gonna happen. I sent my son to Oklahoma with his grandparents, so if we lose electricity he won't have to endure that or anything else.We evacuated during RITA, and it took 18 hours for us to go 50 miles. We ended up having to turn around- and we said we wouldn't do it again. We are not in the evac zipcode. We are going to "hunker down" as we Texans call it. God Bless!Kristy
