Hi,

I was diagnosed with Celiac via bloodwork 7 yrs ago. Have had the runs for

8yrs. Last year went thru food allergy testing - 25 food allergies. After

trying everything it seemed. Finally had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done.

Found I am still ingesting gluten - somehow... been strictly gluten free for

7yrs - not sure where - working on finding it. Then had a camera endoscopy -

found usual inflammation in my small intestines, colon etc. I am on prednisone

to try to reduce the inflammation, my GI wants me to consult with a

rheumetologist to see if my lupus diagnosis from 21yrs ago was actually IBD.

The GI doc ran bloodwork - I flagged for crohns, ulcerative colitis and IBD,

lupus looked fine there. I am on my own until I see the Rheumetologist the end

of this month. I am on 40mg prednisone for now. I have been doing research and

found the SCD diet and pondered for a while and decided to give it a try. I am

waiting for my copy of Breaking the Vicious Cycle to arrive. I am just hoping

this helps. Today was rough for me. I still feel so hungry - I have had

grilled burgers, roast chicken, sauteed chicken. With my flat villi, I also

have to be dairy-free. I reacted to eggs in the allergy test, tried to

reintroduce, no luck. These 2 will make this diet tough.

Any hints, suggestions, glimmers of hope - most welcomed! I don't mean to sound

down, I guess it's all the timing - finances are at an all time low etc. When

it rains it pours. I will survive! I know it's all for my own good!

I'm excited to read all that is on this site! Thanks for listening! Theresa
