Guest guest
Hello, quick question, how old is LeeAnn? Just curious cause my son is 14 mos old and his a little over 12lbs but he just grew out of his 3-6mos clothes, he's wearing 6-9mos clothes(yeah!!!) It seemed like he was in them (3-6mos) forever! Anyway..thanks mom to 14mos RSS mom2prem wrote: Forgive me for this, I KNOW you have covered it a lot. Jet lag and learning my new daughter's personality have made me forgetful. Do your RSS kiddos have bad teeth? LeeAnn has HORRIBLE teeth, in fact one is GREEN!!!! I have never seen teeth like that! If you have seen this, please tell me it is just baby teeth or could it be bottle rot??? Our dentist will LOVE us :-) Also, LeeAnn is about 12 pounds and so skinny! She wears 3-6 month clothes right now. I know, (duh, , she has RSS) but it just seems like she is really thin. I know that is normal to some extent and she IS eating. Until I get to the doctor, should we be waking her up to eat? She drinks a lot of milk and is very active. Should I/Can I email Dr H? Does anyone have her email? Our flight home was tolerable and she is beginning to like us. She is irritated when we don't speak Korean and when we do she gets sad. She is a very spirited baby girl and over all, just incredible! ---------------------------------

Guest guest
Congratulations! I'm so happy you are home with your little girl, finally! As for the teeth, wish I could help you. Autumn is 15 mos and only has 4 but the bottom 2 are crooked, I have not seen a green one before though. Good luck with the dentist. Also, I have Autumn on Peptamin Jr. or you can get Pediasure instead of milk, it's what helps her with her weight, it's high cal and fat and has all the nutrients. The flavors not too great though but she doesnt' care it may take some getting used to. She drinks a lot of that and it helps. Hang in there, and again, I'm so happy for you! mom to Autumn 15 mos RSS, Ocean 2 1/2, Skye 6 1/2, baby girl due in July > > Forgive me for this, I KNOW you have covered it a lot. Guest guest
, Congratulations on bringing your daughter home!! I don't know about RSS and its consequences to teeth but some other thoughts are.... Stained - When I adopted my children from Belarus, they had been served a tea mixture most of their lives. I saw and had heard that many children in orphanges in Eastern Europe have very stained teeth on top of poor oral hyigene and bottle rot. Who knows what is routinely served to these children in many countries?? Drug Stained Teeth - The antibiotic tetracycline was widely used in the US years ago and many children grew up having extremely stained teeth. You never know what drugs are used in these countries. An example....My children were given small pox vaccinations at their orphanage. Once Again Congratulations!! Sue > > Forgive me for this, I KNOW you have covered it a lot. Guest guest
, I am so glad that you are all home and together as a family! How wonderful. After all that waiting, it seems like it was so quick. I think that you should definitely wake LeeAnn up at night to feed her. Even if she just takes a little bit. You can also opt to add cornstarch to her last feed of the day. That will help stabilize blood sugars for a longer period of time. But she weighs so little that waking her up is a good option. It will get some extra calories into her, I hope. I know you want to get in touch with Dr. H. The problem is that she is so swamped between traveling, working and traveling for work that she is not really responding to emails. You can always try, though. The other option is to call Yadira, her secretary, and see what Yadira says. She may have a way of getting info to Dr. H. that she will actually read and respond to. I am happy to provide you with Dr. H's email, but I don't know if I can post it on the listserve. You can email me privately and I will give it to you.
