Guest guest
I just asked Dr. Anthone this at my 2 year check up last week, and he said in his 11 years experience with the DS, he still has no way to measure how much we malasorb. Let alone, break it down into protein, carbs, fats, etc. All they can do is monitor our blood work and weight and make sure that we're not malabsorbing the wrong things. So far, it's working great! Good luck to you! heidi http://www.mywls.com

Father, forgive me, for I have sinned. <WHOMP! DUMP!> I ate a piece of cake at my nephew's birthday party. <WHOMP! DUMP!> Actually, it wasn't just a birthday party; it was a Bar Mitzvah... <WHOMP, WHOMP, WHOMP! DUMP, DUMP! DUMP!> Sure, we can go 'round wearing hair shirts and flogging ourselves for our sins. But, I'd prefer to relax and enjoy life. Besides, though I still have a sweet tooth, most of the old things that I used to eat are just too darned sweet for my taste now, so I really eat precious little by way of sweets. For example, chocolate can sit in the house for months, and I have little interest most of the time in eating it. I still like ice cream, but not the really icky sweet flavors, and when I have some, it is about two heaping tablespoons full, not a whole bowl full--'cuz two tbsp full is all I really want. YMMV.
