Guest guest
If you're symptoms free and then have some blood I don't think you necessarily have to go all the way back to intro, but I would at least cut out things that may be causing you a problem like lots of dairy, or lots of nut flour products, anything you think you may have overindulged on.I think the veggies and meats are a personalized thing. For me, I have trouble with ground beef sometimes so I would cut that out and see if I get results. Spinach, carrots, and butternut squash are usually well tolerated but again it's all a personal thing.I've had blood in my stool for months before because I couldn't figure out what (if any) foods were causing it. It could also just be die off.Do you keep a food journal? Did you eat anything out of the ordinary or eat out someplace?I'm sorry there are no concrete answers for you on this because like this diet, reactions and healing times vary from person to person. The best advice would be to go basic broths and chicken soup for a day or 2 and see if you notice any positive changes and then go from there. -UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 11 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Colazol - 9 pills a day Prednisone 25mg entocort With vit E mixed inBack to intro/stage 1 for now.To: BTVC-SCD From: scd143@...Date: Mon, 10 May 2010 18:34:18 +0000Subject: UC sufferers - Please answer Hello all, I am on SCD since last 8 months. I keep seeing Blood now and then. I have following question:- 1. Do you start intro diet as soon as you start seeing blood in the stool? 2. Can you eat nut flour, dates, raisins when you are in flare-up(when you see B in your stool) 3. What vegetables, meats can you use and what should be avoided in flare-up(when you see B in your stool) 4. How long does it take to completely out of the episodes of B in the stool? Has anyone had success? If yes, what things you added to your diet? I really appreciate your help Thanks Hotmail is redefining busy with tools for the New Busy. Get more from your inbox. See how.
