Guest guest
Dear Friends, Well, it's better today. I called the supplier of the pump and they sent me a rep who knew what he was doing. Apparently the problem was in the dripping part of the pump holder. It was to full. I found the microscopic line that marks how much you can have in it for the pump to run. Connor got his feed last night and did fine. He's still sore and is gimping around. He really wants me to carry him everywhere but I'm making him walk around a little bit. Of course his appetite is off (who wouldn't be) but I'm not to worried. We are starting him at 30cc's/hr with only 230 mls. Basically, one can of pediasure which is what he took orally all night on his own. Oh, he also had a b.m. which I think will help things all the way around. I still feel like a goon. But, we are adjusting. I'm very matter of factly telling Connor what the tube is and what it does. So far he's accepting it. Doesn't like it, but isn't pulling on it either. is learning the routine too and has been a big help when I have to change his dressing. Life isn't bad and I won't complain. We got 6 inches of snow today. Loads of fun for the older boys. I stayed inside with Connor and made some bread. That's all for now. Thank you so much for your cyber ears and practical advice. It has been a Godsend for us all. Mom to Graham 8; Cameron 5; Connor 2 1/2 RSS
