I'm not an SCD expert, but my personal opinion is go ahead an use it. If I went through and counted every illegal containing product that touched my skin everyday i'd run out of ink in my pen.Besides, I would think that anything you're absorbing through your skin would be SCD safe anyway, since to get into your bloodstream like that it would literally have to be "pre-digested". Kind of like absorbing things through your stomach. Your digestive tract didn't have to do anything to the stuff to get itinto your body in the first place, which in my mind would make whatever your absorbing in your shampoo "scd legal"-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 11 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Colazol - 9 pills a day Prednisone 25mg entocort With vit E mixed inBack to intro/stage 1 for now.To: BTVC-SCD From: scd.lady@...Date: Sun, 16 May 2010 20:52:27 +0000Subject: Products used topically that are not SCD-legal

This may seem like a really dumb question, but are topically-used SCD products allowed.

I want to use lotions (and a hair product) that contains oatmeal in it. I know the skin absorbs whatever is put onto it...(into the body and blood stream)...maybe I've answered my own question, but are topically used SCD products okay...or is it just the dietary issues that one must be concerned with.

Thanks!

For Celiac's Disease, it's very important to watch the labels on everything.

For IBD/IBS, it's personal preference and only if ingested.
