Does anyone know why when you whir a blender with hot liquids it

erupts up and out but won't do the same with the same measure

of cool water?

I'm not sure but I suspect maybe the force of the blending creates

more heat and pressure which just forces the hot liquid hotter and up

and out? I am sure we've all done this a time or two and had to clean

the kitchen.
