Asacol vs. sulfasalazine ?

Can anyone shed some light on switching from Asacol to Azulfadine/sulfasalzine?

The later is SCD preferred, though the Dr. mentioned the high amounts of sulfur

may cause a need for additional supplements and possible other side effects.

(sounds like trading one bad for another). I've been following SCD since JAN

2010, so far, so good with low dose of Asacol. Recently, have had a few missed

menstual cycles-thinking due mostly to drug?

Any experiences and feedback would be most helpful. thank you!
