Guest guest
>>> Do you have any experience of Kirkman's Enzymaid? Do you know if this is one of the preparations that also works well? I have tried the original EnzymAid with my older son and myself. I did not find it nearly as effective. We would have needed to take at least a good 4 capsules or more to equal 1 Peptizyde. We are not using it just for contamination or trace unknowns. If we were I would think it would be effective. My older son and I also tried the new EnzymAid Complete from Kirkmans. We used it regularly at every meal and snack for 4 days. It was MUCH more effective than the EnzymAid, in my opinion. I used the recommended 1/4 teaspoon which is equal to 2 Peptizyde capsules. 1/8 teaspoon is the quantity of " stuff " that fits into the regular sized enzyme capsules. We ate regular gluten/casein as usual but did not overdo it. By the 4th day my son was wetting, which is a usual casein response for him. However, he was only slightly having a moody disposition. Not tantruming, not meltdowns or anything else which he used to display with casein. I also was feeling a mild migraine headache by the 3 and 4 day, but not the full-blown pain which I usually get right away with casein. So I think the EnzymAid Complete is effective for casein/gluten, but we would need to use a higher dose, such as 3 capsules worth or perhaps 2 capsules of Complete and one of the DPP IV Forte Analog. Remember that because the Complete has a full array of enzymes, that you are also getting enzymes for all other foods, not just the casein/gluten. In that respect, the 1/4 teaspoon of Complete would be roughly the same quantity and mix as one Peptizyde and one Zyme Prime from Houstons....or SerenAid plus Vital Zyme Forte from Klaire Labs. But if you would like to use a Kirkman product, I like the EnzymAid Complete the best..definitely, and would recommend that one over the regular EnzymAid. . Guest guest
Hi , I have attached a file I received from on the enzymesandautism.com board it's another e.group like the gfcfdiet.com group that deals mainly with enzymes. In the file there is information about one brand of enzymes and a link to their website and information about joining the group. I strongly recommend joining the group if you want to learn more about enzymes. I am just starting down this road myself. If for some reason you are unable to open this file, let me know and I will copy the text to the body of a letter and resend it. I know sometimes I can't open certain attachments from my computer. Take Care, Tana Hi I need help and guidance! My son is 15 and I tried gfcf diet last year w/no success. I am a awful cook and not very creative. He is picky and when I tried new recipes he hated them and would cheat on his own. Ive thought of trying enzymes but have no idea what to try! Im very ignorent and very burnt out. Ive been at this for 9 years. Seen many doctors and tried many meds etc... Any suggestions on how to try food plan again as well as what enzymes to buy????? Thanks
