Guest guest
Jody, I have seen posts like this over and over again. Look at the big picture, in 9 weeks you lost 38 lbs, or over 4 lbs/week. That is a very fast rate. What has happened is you became dehydrated when you were sick and some of those 33 lbs lost were water weight. Then as you re-hydrated you lost fat weight but gained water weight, hence the slow loss. The weight of weight loss depends on your starting weight. Typically one looses about 1/3 of their excess weight over the first 13 weeks. This means that if you are 100 lbs overweight to start with you would loose only 33 lbs in the first 13 weeks. If you were 150 lbs overeight you would expect to loose about 50 lbs in the first 13 weeks. You are on track to loose about 50 lbs by week 13, so you are doing fine unless you started out several hundred pounds overweight. I expect you will start dropping again within a week or two.
