Guest guest
Hi Friends! So we figured out (let's just say Mommy did...) why Keegan's kept shaking his head only while sleeping! It was the day after our appointment and his DOCBand had just been adjusted (shaved) and there was a little fuzzy like surface left where the shaving had been done in the foam, this was tugging or scratching at my son's head/hair and making him very uncomfortable! I figured it out because I had placed a thinly cut piece of cotton in the helmet just to see if I can put him down for nap without a fuss and BINGO! That did the trick so I went back into his helmet with toothbruch and brushed all the surfaces with the fuzz. Keegan is now napping and sleeping again! =) I will bring this up at our next appointment that we'd prefer the adjustments to be VERY smooth. Guest guest
I always brushed my sons helmet each day when I cleaned it. I guess I was helping him out without realizing it. Glad you got to the source of the issue and your little guy is more comfortable. Good mommy instint! Tammy From: Melinda <melindz@...>Subject: WE KNOW WHY! HELP! Guest guest
Hi Melinda- Glad to hear you solved the mystery and it wasn't anything serious! It must have really been tickling her. We have the DOCBand too and the areas they shave out are always a little rougher than the non- shaved areas. I'm not sure how much smoother they can get it, but you're right, brushing it and cleaning it, plus wearing it, does get it smoother over time until the next adjustment. Thanks for sharing the solution to your problem! Good luck!
