Hi all, thank you all so much for all of the helpful suggestions. I

took one of the suggestions about checking to see if this Dr. was

part of a group and remembered that his brother is also a surgeon and

still pratcing in LA. I called him and found out that my doc sold his

pratice to another doc in 1991. The brother was very helpful and gave

me the new doc's name and number. He also appoligzed for his brothers

behavoir and told me that they haven't spoken in 8 years. He didn't

say why they weren't speeking but did give me the impression that it

has a little to do with the fact that his brother is an A**. I did

share my story with him about his brother giving me the run around

and he said that he was not suprised. He suggested that I call the

new doc to see if the files were destroyed. I called her and she

confirmed that they were destroyed in 1998. She said that it was his

responsibility to contact me in 1991 to get my files, and he did not.

I may have a glimmer of hope, I contacted my former surgeon (the one

that did my VBG) to get my records from him. Hopefully the letter

this doc wrote for me in 1995 will be in there. I will use it if it

is. If not I will drop the issue. I have plenty of diet history, but

wanted info. from as far back as possible.

On one short note, I was given the ROYAL A** CHEWING from my VBG

surgon yesterday. He totally disagrees with BPD/DS. He said that it

was too restrictive as far as eating goes. I informed him that I felt

very restrictive " now " because all I can tolerate is high fat, high

sugar foods. He said he knew what my problem was, that I was eating

too fast and not chewing enough. WHAT DOES HE KNOW???? He hasn't seen

me in over 4 years. I DO CHEW more than most and I always take 30

minutes at least to eat. And it is not much at one time. OK I've said

enough, sorry. I needed to get this off my chest.

I WILL GET SWITCHED ONE DAY!!!!!

Thanks, Roxanne
