Guest guest
I don't know what the practice is elsewhere but we have been told that here in Japan that it is OK if it is left out for up to around 24 hours - but obviously it depends on how hot the weather is at the time. That is less concerning than letting the GH get too cold or near frozen as I understand it would then become ineffective. I know it is worrying to miss shots although I would imagine that even the most dilligent of us miss a few a year. I would be tempted to assume you can still use it but if you had another vile of GH that you could use in the meantime until your own Endo responds I guess you might feel more comfortable. We use Norditropin too. Debi - mother to in Japan GH left out of refrigerator ARRGH! Question.. I am waiting to hear back from our Endo nurse but I thought that I would ask the GH family experts. Somehow, Madeline's GH was left out of the refrigerator for approximately 24 hrs. I found this out last night when I got back into town and was going to give Madeline her shot. I did NOT give her the shot because I was not sure if the GH was damaged.. I put it back in the refrigerator and ended up skipping her last night shot.. Has anyone ever done this before? Do we need to replace this vile of GH?... We have never missed a shot before and this is driving me crazy! We are using Norditropin. thank you in advance for your help. Guest guest
Thank you Debi! - I ended up calling Novo Nordisk and asking their advice - they said that although they can not recommend the use of the gh after it has sat out - they have however done testing that shows that it does stay stable over a 24 hr time... Then the nurse called from the Endo clinic and she said that as long as it is not cloudy and looks to be in good condition - we could use it.. SOOO i gave Madeline her shot this morning and we will resume our normal evening shots without missing a dose... Thank you for your advice - It was nice to hear that you felt the same way!
