Today I faxed my diet history and medical records (back about 10 yrs) to my

insurance company. I had the fax number of the dept. since I had called last

week inquiring about the letter Dr. Hess mailed and they told me to have him fax

it. Yesterday they said they mailed a letter to Dr. Hess asking for the above.

I called Dr. Hess' office (cheesh! It takes many tries to get into the office

now - a very popular place! :-))

Talked to the woman there and she said when they got the letter, they would send

it to me and then I should put the letter with the medical and diet history and

mail it it. I asked her shouldn't I fax it? and she so, no, unless you know

the fax number and who to fax it to. Well, I knew the fax number and the dept.

and put my own cover letter on it explaining that I got this information from

Mrs. Ramsey yesterday and that I didn't know who was handling my case, but gave

my ID and group number and what the case was about. I just couldn't wait a

whole other week to get the letter from Dr. Hess' office and send stuff I

already had together.

I hope this speeds up things and I get an approval (of course) fast. I will

also do what the woman at Dr. Hess' office said to do next week when I get the

letter, but I had to send it today anyway!

I had requested information on my case on line a couple of days ago and I got an

email back today telling me essentially what Mrs. Ramsey had said, except it

gave me the case number, too. Well, this email came after I had faxed

everything and I thought it was an approval (no such luck) because she titled it

" PreApproval Letter " . She said once they got the requested info they would

" reopen the case and make a determination. "

Keep fingers crossed for me the determination is yes, or I have already decided

I am getting Walter to fight for me from the get-go.....and I really hope I

don't have to do that! Hope this wasn't too boring, but you know how this puts

one on pins and needles while waiting.....waiting....waiting!! Carole
