Guest guest
Pink, I do try to use a mask most of the time...the dust can be annoying...it does not make me cough however. The vapor/dust mask ( it's really a huge two sided thing that's looks industrial) is really very hot and makes me very uncomfortable when I'm working on the wet clay.  But I really use the vapor mask when I use the glazes and oxide washes  because they can be very strong smelling! I also use gloves for the glazing process. In regard to the liquid O2...my small local provider comes weekly and fills the tanks from his truck. I have two reservoirs and he fills both each week. One would not be enough for my 3-4 lpm continuous flow and then he's have to deliver twice a week. So, I get to have two tanks and only one fill-up day and I always have enough to fill both Helioses if I need them daily. I am looking for another provider because this guy doesn't have the Marathon and I think it's a better idea for me.  I haven't called Lincare yet. What about water colors? I was watching this guy on ColorSplash the other day on DishNetwork. He was creating watercolor artwork with squirts and splashes of paint and then spraying it with water here and there. It was beautiful and of course it seemed so easy ( I bet it isn't). Of course you may find some other outlet that has nothing to do with painting. Change can be a very good thing. I use to help my husband in the wood shop. He's a carpenter of sorts. My doctor said no more of that. No dust, no chemicals. So it's weird how much I miss going out to the wood shop. I tried wearing a mask but I just can't seem to breathe. Now I work in the flower and vegetable gardens getting them ready for winter. Up until Christmas I'll be pretty busy. But I dread January. I think I'll finish a quilt I started for my daughter. Keep posting, trust me, it helps just to put it all down in writing. With the other health difficulties, the gas system was just too much for me to handle. I see my local pulmodude on the 16th. Then, on the 19th, I see Dr. LaCamera at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hosp. in Boston. He is the co-director of the ILD Center. Needless to say, I am very excited about that. > > After having the MRI on my right knee, I'm happy to say that there's no signs of aspetic necrosis.
