Guest guest
I thought I would share this with people who understand. Ever since n was born, and ever since we figured my older son had some sort of learning disability, still not diagnosed, I've just been so stressed and haven't found a way to deal with it. we decided to sign the kids up for Tae Kwon do, and at this facility they also have adult classes called Krav Maga. It's different from martial arts, it's actually Israeli street fighting. so, my husband wanted to take it and signed up for a year, so I get in free. I wasn't planning on this at all, it's just not like me, but I thought I'd try it out. There's something about punching and kicking these bags, and having someone there to push you harder that working out by yourself or taking a walk just doesn't accomplish! I get to take out all my frustrations, it's great! And, I also know how to beat up bad guys! cindy (hey, if anyone else has found something that works for them, I'd love to hear it)
Guest guest
Hi Cindy, My husband and I have been taking karate for almost 9 years now. Between having RSS, Becca having emotional issues and my father (who passed away in June) have a form of dementia and not being able to speak for the 3 years before he died, karate became my saviour. Believe me, I can't tell you how many times I stopped to punch and kick a bag before even making it to the locker room to change my clothes. Our children just turned 5 and they will be starting this summer (at least we will try it and see). Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) 5 year old twins
