Hello!!

I do not post very often but try to read the goings on within the

list serve whenever I have a free moment..

I have been extremely intrigued by some of the postings by Beth &

ne with regards to food –diet and nutrition.. So much so that

I went out and purchased the Sally Fallon book Nourishing Traditions

and the Cowan book The Fourfold Path to Healing… I have just

begun to dig into them..

My questions pertains to giving children Cod Liver Oil…. I don't

remember if it is Beth or ne or both who are giving their kids

cod liver oil… Bu how in the world to you get your children to take

this stuff… I completely believe in the benefits but I am having a

hard time disguising the unmistakably bad taste is possess!! I

purchased from our local health food store a brand of cod liver oil

that has be altered just enough to carry an allegedly orange

flavor. I have tried to put it in their morning smoothie -- no

luck – but I was able to bribe them to finish their smoothing that

morning one dose in!! They are now on to me and are watching my

every move, waiting for the next place that I will try to hide the

cod liver oil… They are pretty reasonable kids when it comes to

food and nutrition. Madeline just started GH a little over two

weeks ago – I have been trying to fine tune her diet so as to

contain a balance of protein and carbohydrates. If Madeline had her

choice – she would live on pasta and cheese.

I feel like the cod liver oil would be a great addition to the kids

diet – just looking for suggestions as to how to disguise the lovely

fishy flavor!

Thank you for the great book recommendations!! The Sally Fallon book

has some fantastic recipes!!

Sincerely,

Jenni Vetter
