I did not have problems with macrodantin a year ago, but any antibiotic can

cause problems because it kills off your good gut bacteria along with the bad.

Be sure to have plenty of SCD yogurt in between doses.

I found taking the cran max from digestive wellness to be really helpful in

preventing uti's . I also drank a lot of their cranberry juice concentrate

diluted in water too.

Drink lots of water too--

> Hiya folks! Well the timing of that list of antibiotics could not have been

better. I woke up today with a killer UTI infection. I broke out my bottle of

antibiotics that I had from before SCD and thankfully it is one that is on the

" safe " list (Macrodantin). Of course, I am SURE there are illegals in it, but I

just didn't have a choice. I am going to try to only use it for a day or so. I

am already better. Has anyone taken this for a UTI? How long did you take it

for? Did it make your stomach issues worse? I am very prone to D... so far so

good though...

Thanks for your advice PJ! Unfortunately it'll be too late to get the stuff from

digestive wellness, but I think I'll order the cran max for next time. Not that

I WANT there to be a next time... but there always is :)

P.S. I've been drinking water today like there's no tomorrow!
