Briggitt,

Datreon ALWAYS gets weighed with out his clothing or a diaper. Luckily his

doctor is completely wonderful, so we haven't had any problem. I hope this

helps!

At my pediatricians office they try to do this everytime with my daughter as

well. I think it is a sandard that once kids turn 1 they don't have to remove

clothing to weigh them. You definately should be romoving Bobbi's clothes. I

simply tell the nurse that my daughter has a growth disorder and that we need to

closely monitor her weight. Most of the time they are like " oh, O.K. "

Occasionally I get a nurse that seems a little irritated because then it takes

longer to do the weigh; but weighing with clothes on is not an accurate weight.

Good Luck. Jane, mom to katie - 19 months, 17#; 28 " , periactin, zantac

The only time the pediatrician weighs Isaac with his clothes on is

when he is sick. They even make me remove his diaper to get weighed.

Hi,

I also ask the same though by now I don't think there is a nurse at

our pedi's office who hasn't seen Emerence quite a few times by now!

Just think, if Dr.'s offices gave frequent flier miles for visits

we'd be swimming in them! If there is a new nurse I just tell them

she has to be weighed naked on the baby scale. Any issues and I let

the doctor take care of it when she comes in!

they always have me take Dalia's clothes off, but they don't want the

diaper off...I always insist and they seem bothered a bit, but no big

deal - I do it every time.

The only time I let her be weighed with clothes on is in the ER.

It is important to have the clothes off.
