Guest guest
Hi, I've been trying to get Colin to eat more of the complex carbs and last night for dinner we made homemade pizza with whole wheat crust. It was wonderful, except the dough was too difficult for Colin to chew. Because he has such a small mouth and jaw it takes him a long time to prepare a bite to swallow. If I had made regular pizza he would have eaten 1-2 small pieces, but since the crust was too difficult for him to chew, he ate maybe 10 bites. We have the same problem with whole grain breads, whole wheat pasta and rice. Beth, do you have any thoughts on this. Getting the calories in right now is more important to me, but I know the complex carbs are so much healthier. They also fill him him quicker.
