Potty Training and Skin Conditions

My son Colin- (4) was potty trained prior to his sister being

born in July and now he won't go except in the pull-ups. He is hooked-

up to the g-tube feeding throughout the night and have always known

that it would be tough to get him fully trained at this point, but I

don't know what else to try. I am at the money in the piggy bank

stage at this point. Any thoughts?

Another problem is his skin is so sensitive. He has ezcwma (sp) and

gets rashes all over all times of the year. Is this b/c of RSS or b/c

he on the growth hromone - besides elidel, aveno bath treatments and

lotions, any other thoughts?

Hi M.,

My non-RSS twin has excema. She also gets the elidel,

aveeno etc. When it gets bad, we stop the elidel and switch to

hydrocortisone and aquafor twice a day for a few days.

Sorry I can't help with the potty training, we had a tough time with

both kids.

Dear ,

All my kids had Excema, due to allgeries.. Their doctor told me

not to use any jhonson and johnson prodcut, because they have a lot

of detergent in them. To you French soap and shampoo's. They have

no perfumes and detergents, which makes excema worse. he told me to

use a product call " Mustela " there are shampoos, lotions and

cleansing lotion for the kids, you can find them at nordstroms or

over the internet, they are price, but they work. I do not know

where you live, but the doctor we see in in Covina, Ca and he also

sells a special lotion that the kids would take a bath in, it smell

like motor oil, but is does wonders. All my kids had this and they

he got rid of it.
