Guest guest
Marcy, I totally understand your frustrations as I go through that with my own test results. I'm still waiting for my primary doctor to call me back with what to do about some bloodwork that was done by my ob/gyn. I don't have a functioning thyroid (killed off by radiation because I had Graves Disease a few years ago), and the ob told me that my numbers were off. And so I still wait. Not to make less of your frustrations, however, be glad that you are not dealing with Dr. Harbison! She never calls or emails with bone age results or bloodwork. We always have to wait until the next appt. to get those. In other words, Max will have a bone age done in May, but we will not know the results until August. Unless, of course, Max has the bone age done before we see her that day. Then she will estimate what she thinks the bone age is. I hope you get answers soon. These medical professionals should be more sensitive to the parents' concerns. Especially when there is a child with special needs involved. Then again, the insurance companies make it so difficult for them. Jodi Z

Has anyone had to wait 2 weeks for a bone age scan and thyroid test? I waited a week because the doctor said he would call next week. I called last Wednesday and was told to call back Thursday because the lab tech was out. Thursday was told Lab tech was out sick and call back next week. Called Monday closed holiday.I called this morning, then again at 2:30 and was told her chart is in his office and he has been seeing patients all day, when they can get into his office they will call me. I am asuming everything is fine but want to know the results of na tests that were done Feb 4th. I called her primary doctors office for his nurse to call and get the results which she called me back and said they won't give her any information because the chart is in his office. He must have had to pee or eat today, last time we were there i didn't see a bathroom. My husband doesn't like him , i don't like his office. If some one was calling me 4 days in a row i would have the chart ready.............sorry to vent. It is now 3 and still no call. I guess everything is fine but we have another appointment on next week and i don't want to have the same test done if i can just give her other doctor the results. Glad to hear Max is out of the hospital and doing better. Poor Colin hope things are better there too. Marcy na mom 27lbs 35inches 4yrs old ps. I just got a call today ( Thursday) Her t4 is 11.8 which they said was normal? She spoke so fast something else was 194, something 5.6 and the doctor would send me the results. She said in this office we will get back to you when we can. I told her if it was her daughter what would she do? She told me she didn't have kids.HUGH! I like everyone, I deal with people all day, different backrounds etc..... but this women has now put me on a downward roll of not liking some one. She told me nas bone age is 3yrs 6months which the end of November was 2yr 6months. Does this sound right? The tech said you asked for results and I am it's fine we will just watch her for another six months but the doctor mentioned if her bone age was right we would start the process of getting her growth hormones. I feel like we are just getting the run around because i rocked the boat in calling to many times for results. i hate dealing with that office We go for her MRI Tuesday and i will ask then. __________________________________________________
