Guest guest
The yogurt generally is more intense than the 3 billion capsules. This sounds like die off. That, in general, is a good thing, but you may just want to back off the yogurt for a few days so you feel more comfortable. Epsom salt baths are good. Get some rest. When you start the yogurt or probiotics again, go slowly. PJ > > Hi all, > > I am just over two weeks into the diet. On the fifth day, I added 1 3 billion acidophillus pill a day. I didn't have any significant reaction until a upped the dosage to twice a day, which was silly I know. Anyways, I was having a lot more bloating after increasing the dosage so I figured that twice was too much (duh!) and yesterday didn't have any. So, I had made almond milk yogurt and decided that today I would try a small amount and work up from there (I only had a small spoonful, probably no more than a teaspoon). While yesterday was an above-average day, today was one of my worst days, a lot of weird stomach movements and gas. And also, the gas was smelly which is not normal for me. Also, some of my symptoms from the first week, fever-like symptoms and not having much energy came back tonight. In any case, it occured to me that maybe the yogurt was more intense than the acidophillus. Is that true? I used 1/8 teaspoon of the GI prostart and I also dripped the yogurt because it was watery, so maybe that would make the probiotic more concentrated? I'm guessing what I experienced today is die-off. Should I continue with the yogurt and push through the die-off, or are die-off symptoms something you should try to avoid? I'm kind of confused about that... > > Advice appreciated! > > Thanks, > > Ellen >
