Guest guest
I used the excuse a gave to her work. I told them I was having abdominal surgery, gall bladder, " plus some other stuff " and that it was a case where if I didn't have it done now, I would have big problems later....which I will because my blood pressure has been up for 2 yrs now, although luckily not bad enough for meds, and my cholesterol keeps going up and is disgustingly high right now, so I will have big problems if I don't take care of this. When I start losing weight, I am going to say the Dr. put me on a diet of high protein and told me I must cut back and lose weight. If this happens right after surgery, it sounds plausible, don't you think? And like someone said, they don't have to know it is weight lost forever. Now, if an MO person asked me about it, or was my friend, I would (and have) told them, but I just do not need anyone saying I shouldn't be taking off work for something like this.
