Guest guest
I'm going to be starting the twins in day care next week. They have always been home with me so this is a huge step. Here are my questions for those of you that have had 2 yr olds in day care centers: 1) Did they allow your child to have a cup with them all day? Coby still gets most of his cals from his milk. 2) How often did they offer smacks and did they eat them in the room with the other kids? 3) Did your child eat their lunches? Did they have substitute meals for things your child didn't like? Any other helpful hints would be greatly appriciated! Thanks, le, mom to: Shye 10, Brock 8, and Coby(rss) & Carlee
Guest guest
You should ask the daycare thies things as some have different rules. All the children had a sippy cup available to drink (and in sight), but they di dnot carry it around in fear of transfering of germs between children drinking the same one. My daycare offered other foods if Mathieu wouldn't eat, but that was very rare sinc it was moslty kid friendly stuff they like. This was last summer in New Olreans, but soem daycares aren't as firendly with these things either. They usually have a morning snack and then an aftermnoon snack, but soem daycares ideas of snacks are very sugary...One of the daycares I looked thought pop tarts was considered a snack while the one I wen with offered carrot sticks, graham crackers, Peanut butter snacks, some gold fish crackers. These are things you might see for them to snack on. They get milk at lunch and juice or water between meals and at snack usually.
