Guest guest
You know, there must be SOME way to predict who will be a good loser and who will not; who will have lactose intolerance and who will not; who will need lots of additional supplements and who will not; who will have stinky, loose, and irregularly-timed BMs and who will not. I will not, cannot, believe that these are just random occurances. Nobody knows how your body will react until it happens? Science does not work like that (for the most part; please no comments about chaos theory!!). I bet that if some researcher or another interested in this surgery were to painstakingly document every pre-op and post-op kind of occurance, we could come up with some good information that might half-way predict who would be in for what. Especially if that person studied such aware and well-spoken individuals like the ones on this list. What do you think????????? Do any of you have any of these minor problems/inconvenient side effects that you IMAGINE might be tied to something that you know about yourself or a pre-op condition???????????? For instance: " Yes, . I was a little on the low side of the scale when it came to iron levels pre-operatively. I think that might be why I have such trouble now and have to take this especially disgusting iron capsule. Come to think of it, all the other D/Sers I know with iron problems were just like me pre-op . . . " For my part, I have made a deal with my body that it is not allowed " to pull any shit " after surgery: I will lose quickly; I will drink plenty of milk with " tolerance " ; I will do exceptionally well with a regular multi-vitamin; my poo won't stink or want to come out during times not pre-authorized, and it must have a " regular " and firm consistency. I've told this body of mine that if it gets any ideas about acting to the contrary, I will punish it by " pulling some " medieval-hairshirt-beatings-in-the-closet kind of thing. Who remembers Hawthorne? ;} Love to all,
