Hey Jodi,

is currently on a capful of Mirilax, and we give it every evening. I

mix it with approximately 30-40cc of sterile water, and allow it to

dissolve.

I push 20cc of the Mirilax, then do his bath, get him dressed for bed, do

his GH shot, do the rest of his meds and his nebs, and then push the rest of

the Mirilax.

On nights when I'm running late, I've pushed the whole thing at one time,

after his bath when he's had a little time to empty, and he's done fine. He

would probably gag and vomit if it was formula, but he seems to tolerate

extra water just fine. And he is used to my pushing an extra 10-20cc of

water down his tube every hour when it's warm outside.

That's one thing that I don't understand. We just recently tried upping

's daytime rate by 1cc/hr (from 35cc to 36cc/hr) and he started

vomiting at least once a day! It seems like we always have this problem! I'm

sure it has something to do with the osmolity of the formula, but I have to

say it is very frustrating!!

Hope this helps!

HUGS!!

Thanks for the tips Pat. I wil have to try that next time. But,

like I said, he has been doing well on his own lately. Seems like he

goes in spurts. There will be times where he won't have a BM, and

then there are times he goes once a day. Very strange. For a while

there I could almost set my watch by him! :o)

starts to gag and spit up too when we up him on the pump by

only 1 cc. I haven't figured that one out yet, either. But, we just

back him back down and try again another time. After a few tries, we

are able to keep him there. It is always a process, but he gets

there sometime. You will just have to try that too.

Unlike , usually can't even tolerate added water to his

day. He just can't take that much at one time. It is frustrating

because I know he needs it. I just have to spread it out over the

day instead of a large amount at once. Seems like I am always

putting water in him! :o) He does okay with about 5 cc's at once,

but that's about it.

Thanks for the tips,

Jodi
