Guest guest
I concur about the Xray. Dr. Wakefield talked about this same problem last month during a conference here in South Florida in that your child can have a massive impaction and still pass liquid foul smelling small bowel contents around it. Guest guest
Rosie, I hear you. My son has chronic constipation and we have tried everything. He just stopped creon and we have tried miralax which only made him leak into his underwear, but no solid movement. Then we tried bisacodyl. Still no luck. He is distended and uncomfortable. he has taken to kicking walls and biting people. We were using ducolax suppositories, but they are not gf. After 2 weeks with no movement, I gave in and gave him a ducolax as I tried to way the effects of gluten or the effects of 2 weeks of waste in his system. he finally went and I thought he was birthing a baby!! Our dr is Dr. Buie and I have repeatedly called him for 2 weeks and have gotten not answer from him. I think I need a RX for dynamite. Wait is that gfcf? I also increased fiber with lots of popcorn and raisins. Still no luck. He doesn't want to eat since he feels full already. Have you tried glycerin suppositories or colace? How about senecot? Guest guest
I don't have much advice for your kids with such nasty constipation issues, but my ped told me with my #3 when he was an infant, that rice is constipating for many children. If your child eats a lot of rice, you might try reducing it. Also, you might try digestive enzymes, maybe your child is having difficulty digesting foods and that is causing the constipation.
