Dyane,

I haven't been to either support group meeting yet as I just learned about them. There is a PF support group in sdale and you can reach the coordinator (Lillian) at for information and directions if you are interested, the next meeting is Sept. 26th at 11:00 am.

The other meeting is at St. phs' Hospital and it is the 2nd Tuesday every month, it is designed for pre & post transplant patients, if you are contemplating a possible transplant in the future I'm sure you would like that meeting.

Walt,

I thoroughly enjoyed the UWMC Lung Transplant Support Group Meeting. I met some great people and heard some very inspiring stories. I could have stayed 10 hours and talked to the group. You will hear both the good and the bad about the transplants, but I am a very optomistic person and still have a lot of living to do so I will definitely do the transplant when its time.

If you go to the meeting---do me a favor and look for Sedwick (she's pretty easy on the eyes if you know what I mean), she was transplanted 2 1/2 years ago and has a great story to tell, --she actually was dieing, was in acoma and woke up a month later transplanted- --you have to hear her tell the story, its great. Tell her I said hi and I will Email her.

Bob,

I am really lucky, I live in a planned community and I am about 1/2 mile to the fitness center, I drive there in my golf cart, the center is loaded with all the equipment you can dream of and one of the nicest swimming pools you have seen, all the residents have access to it free of charge (as long as you pay your HOA dues which is $75.00 per month). This makes it easy for me to go work out any time of the day depending how I feel some times I am there for 15 minutes and other days a couple hours, but I do try to go 5-6 days a week and do something anyway.

I have always had low blood pressure and even during a strenuous workout I am only able to get it no higher than 106-110. I have not been able to go any faster than 2.7mph

on the treadmill, if I do my sats dive down to around 85 on my oximeter.

That term "end stage"------ the first time I heard that, one of my not so favorite high school teachers used it describing our relationship just before graduation-- -we both liked

liked the term, he did tell me he was going to be at the graduation ceromony to make darn sure I graduated and wasn't coming back--LOL. The end.
