still having problems

Hi all! I posted a couple of weeks ago about my job changing my

current insurance to an insurance that Dr. gagner does not accept

and does not cover ds.

Well the last time i posted I received a lot of help as to what I

should do. So far the suggestion to ask Dr. G for help not seemed to

help. I never received an answer from him. I emailed him and told him

my problem. I called his nurse and she only said there was noghting

they could do until all my teast are done and they have the results

then they can give me a date.I even called daryl, he said he could

not help me until i get a wls date.

well it took me only i week to have all my test done after the

insurance bombshell was dropped( D day is Dec 31,01, if I dont have

DS by then I am S.O.L.) well all results are in but the sleep study

and the lab says they have no control over getting the results to me

faster, its in the dr's hand which they wont give me the name and

number of. I am so depressed I waited so long to see Dr. G and I know

how long it will take to find another DS surgeon, I just dont think I

can do it all again before dec31 and have surgery too by then too. I

even wrote dr, g's nurse a letter explaining my situatuion and the

need to get approval quickly. I know for a fact that others who have

my insurance , but different dr's have asked for approval the same

day as their consult and have gotten approval the same day. From my

research my current insusrance has no problem w/ the surgery as long

as you are 40bmi or over. Can anyone give me any insight into why dr.

g's office may be ignoring my request to submit for approval before

my insurance changes into a pumpkin. They have to realize that i cant

just jump up and start all over with a new dr at this short notice. I

just feel disgusted right now being so fat and unhealthy and having

health care professionals ignore me. I thought they (mt. sinia group)

were dr.'s who were supposed to understand this obesity thing. i been

researching and waiting for this wls for 2 years. can anyone out

there give me any info or thoughts on this problem. or even a dr who

may be understanding and take me asap! thanks for ur help again!
