Need advice on poop issues with 4 year old

Hi,

In the past Colin has always had a difficult time pooping. For him

to go every other day was a good thing, sometimes he goes as long as

5 days or more. He was taking 1/2 Tbsp of Miralax every other day,

but it seemed to stop working and he was going longer between

stools. Dr. H sent our Ped an email saying that he needed to stool

DAILY so we upped the Miralax to 1 Tbsp every night, but he is still

going only every 2-3 days and now it is so runny that he isn't

making it to the toilet. I'm just wondering if it really is not

possible for him to go that frequently and if we should be happy

with every other day. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I just

want to get a handle on this. I'm worried he is going to have an

accident at preschool and that won't be pretty for the teachers!
