Guest guest
Debbie Your first sentence caught my eye, and I wanted to ask you for some more details. The “lock up” phrase – are you meaning your feet and hands cramp or is it joint/bone pain? If it is a muscle cramp, then you may just be low in magnesium and/or potassium. I have to supplement magnesium and potassium regularly in order to prevent severe muscle cramps/contractions. I’ve also had to do some other things to avoid severe muscle cramps. You could also be dealing with neuropathies and neuromuscular issues as I do. Pain along the bottom of feet is a classic symptom of neuropathy, if the pain covers the entire bottom of the foot. If it is pain in just one area, say under the heel or under the ball of the foot, then you can be dealing with fasciitis. I deal with both, but interestingly enough the solution to both problems is about the same. I have to be careful with the kinds of shoes I wear. Another interesting thing to note is that a lot of my difficulties with nerves and muscles that also affect joints and bones in my legs and arms is due to spinal deterioration. I have significant vertebra damage in my neck and lumbar and between my shoulder blades (cervic, thoracic, lumbar) and all of them play an important role in my neuropathies and neuromuscular communication. My legs don’t move normally which puts abnormal pressure on my knee and hips and the muscles that connect them, changing how my feet hit the ground. So if you also have some spinal issues, they may be contributing to the pain you’re experiencing if it is both joint/bone and muscles. Just some ideas, anyway. If you are dealing with neuropathies, then you may find it helpful to see a neurologist to determine the extent of the problem, and what the solutions might be. Guess we’re dealing with a lot of similar symptoms and conditions, even if they have different causes… Sorry about that [sigh]. Kim M. I seem to have more of a problem with acetaminophen and bleeding than aspirin. I can't take the other OTC like motrin, etc. because it does hurt my stomach. Maybe I'll try to find the white willow bark. I couldn't take the acetaminophen (Tylenol which I just realized other brands have the same ingredient as Tylenol) way before dx. Thanks, I'll search around. Debbie 40 cd
