Guest guest
Hi, not sure I understand where the flat spot is. My daughter had severe brachy. Her band held tightly at the sides to prevent her head growing wider, and direct growth to the back. This is what causes the shape to become more balanced. She didn't get any " flat spots " at the sides where the band held, but she didn't grow in that area either. Maybe you can post a picture of where the flat spot is? I can't really imagine how you can get a flat spot in the prominent area. -christine sydney, 3 yrs, starband grad > > Hi, > > My son is 10 months old and has severe brachy. He has been in the helmet for about two months now. He got 1 cm growh at the back after 5 weeks. But last week we noticed he has a flat spot right by the pressure point on his right side. This flat spot was not there before the treatment. So it seems the helmet is too tight and this is caused by the pressure point where the prominent area was held. We asked our specialist about our concern. But he told us not to worry and he will extend the grinding to this side the next appointment to achieve a longer head at the end. And we asked whether we should make the helmet a bit more loose and he said it's not necessary. Just put it on as we usually do. My impression is that the flat spot area needs to be shaved out more so it will not get worse. But the specialist is not concerned about it and our next appointment is one week later. I'm just curious anyone has similar experience like this? > > Thanks, > Elaine >
