Cees,

This is really a question for your physician. If he's mentioned that you have UIP then there must be a reason for that. UIP can be caused by your rheumatoid arthritis as could NSIP. These questions should go on your list to ask the doctor. I know how frustrating this is for you.

By the way, have you had a chance to respond to the email that Leanne Storch sent to you?

Didn't see anyone mention it, so I wanted to let you all know that the new TV show Three Rivers will have a patient with Pulmonary Hypertension tonight. It's also going to have Mandy Patinkin with ALS, which I'm sure is the main story line though. Topic change -- Been reading the posts about IPF, ILD, UIP, etc., & now I don't know how to sign off. I had just been saying I've got PF, but that apparently is really broad. My pulmodoc mentioned UIP in passing one day, but never explained. What do I have if rheumatoid arthritis is believed to have caused my disease?Cees

Beth,

Thanks anyway just for responding. Do you have any info on my other posting

about failing sleep study, CPAP vs night oxygen, etc.?

I never got an email from Leanne. I've been kicking myself for not sending her

one yet about the book stories, so I would have snatched it open immediately if

I received one. Just double checked & nothing.

Wait. I wonder if it could have been sent to spam accidentally? I'll go check.

So do you have a rheumatologist? If you don't you might find one and

then be patient. Sometimes it takes a while to get in for first visit.

Be prepared to answer lots of questions when you go in.

The Plaquenil helps with RA but I have to see an opthamologist every 6 months

because of it to do the " red dot " test to make sure my eyes are not being

damaged by the drug.

But it does help. That and wait for it... wait for it... steroids.
