I had previously stayed at a Residence Inn in White Plains and enjoyed it a lot. I have a handicapped son (he's got a development disability (atypical autism) along with schizophrenia), who will be coming to the area with me when I get my surgery (along with his personal care attendant) so this might be a more suitable housing arrangement for them. Could you give me some specific directions on where the train station is, and all the related connections that will get me to NYU? >> anne: I'm from Brooklyn but I can't think of many hotels in Brooklyn... There are some out here where I am (Sheepshead Bay). One is called 'Sail's Inn', I think. I'm not sure about the prices but you *may be* able to get a room for 80/night? Perhaps a little more. Sheesphead Bay is in Southwestern Brooklyn (near Coney Island). The Aquarium, Coney Island are nearby and it is scenic (the hotel is on the Bay). The D/Q subway is how you would get into the city. There are extreme delays from what I've heard.... I'm not in Brooklyn at the moment or I'd look up the hotel number for you. I'm not sure how busy the hotel is now or what the rates are. But, I really don't know of other hotels in Brooklyn... there must be some, right? all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt.
